Welcome (Lord Williams School, Lord Bills, Thame school)The hopefully not so Old Tamensians Association (although we'll be 100 years old in 2009) is for all former staff and students of Lord Williams's School (and Lord Williams's Grammar School as it was before 1971, and Thame Grammar before that). Our role is to help everyone keep in touch, organise events, and provide news on developments and changes taking place at Lord Williams’s School. Membership is £10 for life!. All you need do is send us your e-mail address so we can add you to the Members List and give you details of how to subscribe or go to Joining.(Lord Williams school, lord bills, thame grammar)
What we doThe OTA maintains regular contact with former students and staff of the School, and holds an alumni database of over 1,200 names. We organise and provide information on a wide range of events, and if you wish to organise a reunion we can help. More information about the OTA, its history and the Committee can be found on the 'What We Do' page. We're always looking for new members of the Committee, so please let us know if you wish to join. (Meetings are once a term at the School on a Saturday morning.) The OTA also provides the Trustees of the John Hampden War Memorial Fund, the charity that provides grants to ex-students now undertaking study.
Latest News and EventsNews about events, the school and the OTA. We publish frequent updates on-line that are available only from this web site. In addition, we send regular e-mails and we produce an edited hard-copy, the OT Newsletter, for those 'not connected'. Published twice yearly, it is sent by post. The next edition will be issued February 2008. (To help us reduce postage and to receive more frequent news please send us your e-mail address. If you're on e-mail letting us know will help a lot as it means we'll be able to reduce our stamp bill significantly.)
Members News All the news. We publish frequent on-line updates of the latest alumni news. e-mail members also receive frequent updates via their mail box.
Missing MembersInevitably, we lose members off the data-base over time. If you have a moment, please e-mail Stuart and confirm your e-mail and home address. This is just as important with e-mail addresses particularly if you signed-up originally with a student account.
Let's Shop! Why not treat yourself to some Lord Williams’s memorabilia to remind you of your time here?
ReunionsUpdates on planned reunions can be found on this page. We're also here to give advise on how to best organise a reunion.
JoiningIf you wish to join the OTs, please contact the Membership Secretary by e-mail. Membership costs £10 for life!. Also, please contact us if your post/e-mail address changes. Sadly, we receive too many 'Address Unknown'. Please also read our Privacy Policy so that you are aware of how your details may and may not be used, and if you have any further questions please e-mail the Membership Secretary.
OTA Members' Archive 1900-1999 and 2000-2003 A history of the OTA and news of members from 1900 - 2003. This provides a fascinating insight into social changes over the course of a century, and the opportunity to recall perhaps long forgotten memories of friends. Because of the amount of information these archives are spread across a number of pages.
The School History 1870-2000The only 20th Century history of the School. Each year has its own entry.
Obituaries An archive of obituaries.

1971 Macbeth Tour Gerard Gould's 1971 production of Macbeth is generally hailed as the pinnacle of his many successes on the school stage. This tour of Germany was the third and final and this diary, written by one of the cast, perhaps captures the excitement of them all.
Peter Dorfler Gymnasium For many years the School had successful exchange links with the Peter Dorlfer Gymnasium in Marktoberdorf. We have now published a series of pages celebrating that relationship.
